Inspiration is a Muggle

Sometimes I don't fell inspired to write...like...right now.

But what am I doing? I'm writing. Yep. I feel nothing. No emotion. Just a tired body, a weary mind and a shitload of laundry laughing at me.

For me, I can't wait to be inspired to start writing. I'm too busy to wait. I'm going to write, and if inspiration wants to get on the Hogwarts Express with me that's fine, but I ain't waiting for no muggle, ya hear?!

You Can't Wait For Inspiration.

Most of the time I have to write until I get inspired. The more I make myself write, the more inspiration I feel and the easier it becomes. It's hard to get going, but with every word I type it gets easier.

Writing inspiration is like standing on Platform 9 3/4 for the first time and not knowing where the hell to go. Then you have to do something that you really don't feel like doing: run into a brick wall. It would be so much easier to walk away. So much easier to put it off until later. But you can't do that. You have to run full speed, regardless of what you feel, and run into that wall.

I promise that you will find inspiration on the other side.

And possibly Voldemort.

So, good luck with that.

Yup! Show up for work, eat some cheese, draw some squophers, get to writing, and sooner or later, a muggle will show up.

Love this Aaron. The other side is a great place to be.

I'm staring into that brick wall right now. So... thanks for the push to plow through.
